Comic – Disenfranchised
With Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Reverie finally available (at least for us PS3 people–it was worth the download but a bit overpriced for what you got; it should have been $5 rather than $10) and Resurrection on the way, I thought it would be a good time to remind us of things wrong with the Castlevania reboot.
I read about this somewhere and it struck me: Gabriel’s armour looks reminiscent of Simon Belmont’s in Castlevania II. I decided to make a joke out of it.
The timing of this comic, however, is coincidental. The Farr came up with the basic concept back when Lords of Shadow first came out, I expanded the idea and worked it into the on-going story I’ve been working on since the beginning of the year. Yes, that’s correct, this story will tie in to the overall story for the year. Technically, even the Sonic’s New Job comic is cannon as the Game-Flush staff is present at the Congratulations party for Sonic.
And speaking of the previous month’s comic, I again tried something a little different this month. I’m still so unused to using the Wacom Tablet, so (for now) I’m going to draw the comics first and scan them in, then ink and colour them. I just feel like the comics are looking a little crappy lately (last month’s especially) and thought this might be a good solution for improving their quality.
Well, until next month: Flush On!
