J. M.’s First Game-Flush Comic – Link vs. Mario
At one of our last Flush Meetings it was decided I should do a monthly comic (for the first Thursday of every month), though to say I was conned into doing more artwork for the site would be nearer the mark. I negotiated this down to a monthly cartoon or comic (Hell, if I’m going to be forced to do something, I want options!). So, here’s the first one. Yes, it’s a week and a day early, but I thought I’d show a preview of things to come on this, our Launch Day, with this quick piece.
Now I realise some of you may be horrified by what’s pictured here, but if you’re truly honest with yourself, you know this is an unspoken, age-old rivalry. No self respecting young warrior wants to take a backseat to some overweight Guido who spends his afternoons on his basement couch with his brother scarfing down shrooms that take them to a far-off land filled with flying turtles and flowers that allow them to spit fire. There can be only one king of the Nintendo realm, and let’s face it, regardless of what Miyamoto would have you believe (love him though we do), plumbers, though they offer an indispensable service to Game-Flush, are not as B. A. as an elf with a sword.
And be sure to check back next week for another cartoon!

YES!!!!!!! I still have the original of this piece of classic art. I will cherish it forever. It is a token of what I believe to be the best series Nintendo has given us striking back at the series that gets all the glory and fame. Link has obviously gotten fed up with Mario and his Hollywood lifestyle. His only option is to take him from behind…
